I tend to avoid sleeper service flights as I like to enjoy food and drink on-board to pass the time. I think the concept is good but I always double dip on the food in the lounge and then on the plane.
I enjoyed the lounge at Toronto it was a very miniature version of PHL with Club on one side and First on the other. I do love the fact that the BA lounges make you feel as if you have come home as they all use the same furniture etc etc.
As it was New Years Eve I thought I better have Champagne with my supper.
Flight was boarded on time and I took seat 10D, flight took off at 22.30 so I thought I would have a little more food (scrummy pasta and a tangy Lemon Posset) on-board enjoy a glass of bubbly with the crew at midnight then get some sleep.
Interestingly this was one of the 14 777-200’s that have been refitted to ‘A380’ standard with USB ports and new HD screens in Club. As we were flying to Heathrow from 2015 to 2016 I thought Back to the Future would be apt.
I got around 3.5 hrs sleep then had a light fruit breakfast. Arrived rested and refreshed as always. Happy New Year indeed!
